Sea base

There will be a meeting of the Seabase crews (and their parents) on Monday, August 30 at 6:30-7:00 pm. During our short meeting, we will need to collect $325 from each attendee to secure our reservation.

Our meeting agenda will include:
· Discussing the options and costs for travel to Florida
· Discussing ideas for fundraising for attendees (We are looking for a couple volunteers to help coordinate this effort).

There are still a couple of spaces available. If you are interested, contact Mr. Holmes.

Our reservation is for two crews of 6-8 for March 5, 2011 thru March 11, 2011. One of our groups will be enjoying the Keys Adventure where the scouts will spend the The other crew will be working on a sailboat on the Coral Reef Sailing Adventure. Activities include fishing, kayaking, small boat sailing, snorkeling and sightseeing in the Florida Keys.

Jake's Eagle project

Jake is having another Eagle Scout work day on Monday, August 23 at 9:00 am to 2 pm. Scouts who want to attend should bring work gloves and work clothes. There will probably be more workdays on Tuesday and Wednesday if we cannot finish up on the first two days. Free food and water will be provided.

Eagle Project Thursday

Jake Maline's Eagle Scout project is going to be Thursday at 8 am to noon at the Hudson Middle School. There will be other days, but that day is the first. If anyone can't make it is no big deal. There will be water and snacks for people who come to work. Scouts should wear sunscreen and bugspray if they want it. We'll be working by the garden area which is by the front office. If anyone can bring power tools and square-head drill bits that would be great. Scouts will need eye protection too. I'll need at least one other adult to be there. Sorry for the short notice as well.
