Troop 140

Troop 140 parents and interested adults. I'd like to invite you all to a parents meeting on Monday, August 30, during our troop meeting. I'll take this time to give you my philosophy for continuing to build and extend our culture of boy-leadership. I urge everyone to attend if possible. There is a tremendous overlap in my thinking and Gary's (and Dennis' before that); but where there are subtle differences I want Troop 140 families to know why I'm doing what I'm doing. The meeting will be in the meeting room typically used by the boys; I'll ask the boys to hold their meeting outside that night.

Please join me in welcoming Troop 140’s newest Scoutmaster Mr. Bob Maline. There will be a Scoutmaster Transitions at the Tomahawk Court of Honor on Friday July 16 at 7:00pm. So please come and join us in congratulating Bob Maline on becoming our next Scoutmaster.

Parents! You are invited to attend the Court of Honor ceremony on Friday, July 16. The ceremony will start at approximately 7:00 pm at the Chippewa Camp: Crow site, where the boys will be staying. Directions to Tomahawk and maps of the different campsites are available HERE. You may have to walk 15 minutes or so from where you park to get to the campsite. Please bring chairs, bug spray, jacket (or blanket), and rain gear. Please DO NOT bring food for your scout (we'll have snacks). We hope to see you there!

--Meet at Bethel Church at 8:00 AM July 10, 2009. We will be leaving at 9:00 AM

--Bring a bag lunch. We will be stopping at Lakeside Park in Rice Lake for picnic at 11:00 AM

--All Medications and Health forms need to be collected at the Church

--Please arrive in your Class A uniform with neckerchief

YES, we will be meeting on Monday, July 5. It's shakedown time for Camp Tomahawk. We'll meet at our regularly scheduled time.
